A research fellowship is offered to young scientists and clinicians to visit Wuerzburg University Hospital with Dr Thorsten Walles with the aim of learning or practising scientific techniques in the field of basic thoraco-oncologic research (eg lung cancer, mesothelioma) or regenerative medicine not available in the home unit. The home unit should benefit from the research training when the applicant returns, by leading to research developments and activities back onsite.
Two candidates will be selected and invited to present at the Biology Club Session during the 24th European Conference on General Thoracic Surgery in Naples.
