Country roads in Romania cut through the heart of the
mountains. On these roads, we will stop for a moment to contemplate the
overwhelming landscape, the car standing in 20 inches of mud and beside a
frightening pitfall. We would have just surprised a peasant who never saw a
car on this road before and we are heading for the Bears’ Cave where the
real adventure is just about to begin.
It’s only us and nature; it’s a growing friendship where we learn more about
each other and survival. Nature will teach us more about its’ beauties and
its’ ways of life.
Join us for a journey about nature and ourselves! |

The Bears' Cave. The cave was named so, as numerous cave bears (Ursus
spelaeus) were found in this cave. The cave was visited by these large
animals more than 15.000 years ago. But one day, a rock slide closed the
entrance while more than 140 bears were still in the cave. Becoming hungry,
the bears killed one another until all were dead. This story is told by
their remains, tons of bear bones covering the floor of large parts of the
cave with the marks of bear teeth.
